Your High Converting Copy Questions Answered
Are you the right copywriter for me?
This really depends on what you’re looking for and your budget. If you want a premium service and high converting copy that goes beyond writing, includes in-depth research, a purposeful strategy that will engage your current clients and get you new ones, you are in the right place.
If you’re looking for a cheap and generic content-mill-style copywriter, who slaps something together with no thought, or real understanding of your business, or you, then this service will not be a good fit for you.
What are your rates?
I charge for the number of hours that are invested in a project. If a copywriting job is done right, it takes time, effort, and a lot of work. You are investing in me, and in return, I invest everything I possibly can in doing a great job. Package rates are available – our discovery call assesses precisely what you need to get you the results you want from your copy. Whether it’s a social media post, an email, or a PR article placement for you. For editing projects, I view the original draft to assess what is needed to give you the va-va voom you need. Then I send you a quote.
Do you work on a project or hourly basis?
It really depends on the project.
- Project basis is the default format — this is great for both standalone and your recurring projects.
- You can also hire me on an hourly-basis for remote consultancy.
- Retainers are available for your business – for social media packages, I never work for less than three months with you and your business.
Why should I pay you for content when there’s free content online?
If you want to see conversions from your business content, if you want originality, specific targeting, perfect positioning, and the right relevance in your digital marketing material, so your customer ‘gets’ you. Content mills provide cheap copy, which is easy to imitate and easy to forget. The hidden cost of paying for cheap copy is irreparable damage to your brand image and profit margin. Which is going to cost you a load more money in the long run.
Do you do website redesign and graphic design packages with your copy?
Yes, I do – I work with a very fabulous graphic designer and web developer, as well as an SEO specialist. Prices for packages are bespoke, depending on your needs.
Do you do copy for social media ads and run campaigns?
As a rule, I don’t run campaigns. However, I have worked on them in the past and had a lot of success – 250,000,000 views for a Facebook video ad campaign. Ask me and let’s talk about what you want.
How early should I book my project to meet my target deadline?
Book your project start date at least 3 -4 weeks in advance of your target delivery date. Projects, once I confirm availability and send you a quote, can be booked with the down payment specified in the quote. If you want something done on fast delivery, there is a surcharge on the fee.
How long will it take you to write my content?
There are a lot of moving parts to create the perfect high converting copy. The time depends on the nature of your project, the size, and the amount of raw material you have. I’m faster than most copywriters, but I do place a lot of emphasis on planning, research, and strategy to ensure you get the most value out of your investment on your copy. So it’s damn fine and does the job when you have it!
Do you have an order minimum?
Yes, I have an order minimum in terms of cost ($100 minimum) but not in terms of content volume. So you can order a single paragraph or standalone headline if that’s what you need.
Do you charge a late payment fee?
Yes, because payment delays cost me money. So the payment date scheduled in the quote should be respected to avoid paying a late fee. These are all outlined in the Agreement of Service you sign with me when you work with me. It makes it clear for both of us.
What payment options do you accept?
You can pay by credit or debit card via PayPal, or by mailed check, ACH, Direct Debit or wire transfer. I also take Venmo.
Do you visit or write on-site in our agency or company?
Yes, I can do that if you want, and it’s feasible for me to travel. However, please note travel costs are additional and will be factored into your proposal.
How many clients have you worked with?
I’ve worked with and interviewed hundreds of people over the past 20 years. It’s been a pleasure and a privilege and now count some of my very close friends among people who I started out working with.
What’s the best way to brief you on my project?
Drop me a line through this website, or you can email me directly at zoe@mediacontentguru.com. We then book a short discovery call where you can give me some more information on precisely what you need. From there, I prepare a proposal, and then we start working together! I’ve developed a client-friendly fail-proof method of obtaining the info I need from interviewing you and getting you to fill in a fabulous questionnaire. So then you can just sit back and relax!
